Mariner was by the great producer "Julio Mariner" out of "Sorbelle" He was placed on the flat and won over hurdles and fences. He was a fantastic horse, a handful to ride, a little like having a "time bomb" underneath you but we always had a sleep in the stable after training. Mariner used to lie down in his stable with me asleep on him! Not once would be get up before I did. A memory that lives with me all my life and also in my dogs.
